{"id":123,"date":"2005-05-16T08:54:24","date_gmt":"2005-05-16T07:54:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sundaypapers.org.uk\/?p=123"},"modified":"2009-11-26T01:55:35","modified_gmt":"2009-11-26T01:55:35","slug":"church-amongst-churches","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sundaypapers.org.uk\/?p=123","title":{"rendered":"Church Amongst Churches"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Further to my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sundaypapers.org.uk\/?p=122\" onClick=\"popWin=open('http:\/\/www.sundaypapers.org.uk\/?p=122','myWin',''); popWin.focus(); return false\">&#8216;Denomination Domination&#8217;<\/a> post I would like to speculate that we can be church <strong>amongst<\/strong> <\/p>\n<div style=\"display:none\"><a href=\"http:\/\/i-to-i.irexnet.com\/?fantastic_four\">Fantastic Four the movie<\/a><\/div>\n<p> <strong style=\"display:none\"><a href=\"http:\/\/i-to-i.irexnet.com\/?bewitched\">Bewitched movies<\/a><\/strong>   churches. I.e. just because you want to change your pattern of fellowship with other believers, you don&#8217;t have to exclude those in your current church (i.e. the church that you &#8216;attend&#8217;).<\/p>\n<p>However, what does seem to be necessary is a re-prioritisation of how much time you are going to spend with who, but this is a long way off from dumping anyone entirely. Our mission of discipleship (internal church activity) should still be a priority in the situation we find ourselves &#8211; I tend to recall the passage around:<br \/>\n1 Corinthians 7:20<br \/>\nEach one should remain in the situation which he was in when God called him.<\/p>\n<p>and imagine that this could apply to continuing to participate with the church we are in, whilst we allow ourselves fellowship with those from outside &#8216;our&#8217; &#8216;church&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Naturally there is a danger, if we practice this slightly subversive form of church, that existing church leaders might have a problem with us&#8230; but one would hope not!
